Salmon House receives top prize
Salmon Bothy, Portsoy
The Salmon Bothy in Portsoy was awarded two awards in Aberdeenshire Council’s 2010 Design Awards held at Haddo House in September 2010. It received the highest award for Conservation (Distinction) as well as the top prize, the new Ian Shepherd award for the best project over the seven categories. Councilor Peter Argyle said: “We chose the designs that had the most visual impact, and overall Portsoy’s salmon bothy had both aesthetic and historical significance worthy of the new award.”
